This salary hike calculator works both ways. Enter your current salary and a hike percentage to see your new salary, or enter a new offer to find out what percentage hike it really is. It shows the yearly and monthly increase and, if you add inflation, your real hike after rising prices.

What is a Salary Hike Calculator?
A salary hike, or increment, is the increase in your pay, usually expressed as a percentage of your current salary. Companies give annual hikes at appraisal time, and a job change often comes with a bigger one.
A salary hike calculator shows exactly what a percentage means in rupees, or what percentage a new offer actually represents. In India most offers are quoted as CTC (cost to company), which includes employer PF, gratuity and sometimes bonuses, so the calculator also reminds you that CTC is not the same as take-home pay.
How does the Salary Hike Calculator work?
In hike % mode, the calculator multiplies your current salary by (1 + hike ÷ 100). In new salary mode, it divides the difference between the new and current salary by the current salary.
The real hike adjusts for inflation: (1 + hike) ÷ (1 + inflation) − 1. If prices rise 5% and your pay rises 7%, your buying power only grows about 1.9%.
How to use the Salary Hike Calculator step by step
- Enter your current annual salary (CTC or fixed pay, but use the same basis for both).
- Choose whether you know the hike % or the new salary.
- Enter the hike percentage or the new offer.
- Add expected inflation to see your real hike.
- Compare the yearly and monthly increase in the result panel.
- Copy the numbers into your negotiation notes.

It can. A higher salary may push part of your income into a higher slab. Under the new regime, salaried income up to ₹12.75 lakh (including the standard deduction) has no tax.
