This commission calculator works out how much you earn from sales. Use a flat rate, or a tiered plan where the rate rises as sales pass each threshold. Add your base pay for the period to see total earnings and the effective commission rate, with a breakdown by tier, in any of eight currencies.

What is a Commission Calculator?
A commission is pay based on sales, usually a percentage of the value sold. It rewards salespeople for results and is common in retail, real estate, insurance, cars, recruitment and B2B sales.
Plans vary. A flat plan pays the same rate on every sale. A tiered plan pays higher rates as sales pass thresholds, which encourages bigger months. Many roles combine commission with a base salary. This commission calculator handles flat and tiered plans with base pay.
Understanding exactly how your plan is calculated helps you check every statement, plan your month and compare job offers fairly. Two offers with the same headline rate can pay very differently once base pay, tier thresholds and whether the tiers are marginal or retroactive are taken into account. For managers, modelling a plan before launch shows what it will cost at low, typical and high sales.
How does the Commission Calculator work?
For a flat plan, commission is sales times the rate. For a tiered plan, sales are split into bands: up to the first threshold, between the first and second, and above the second; each band is multiplied by its own rate and the results are added. Base pay is added to give total earnings.
