What is a GST Invoice Generator?

A tax invoice is the bill a GST-registered business issues when it sells goods or services. It must include the supplier’s name, address and GSTIN, an invoice number and date, the buyer’s details (and GSTIN if registered), a description with HSN or SAC code, quantity, value, the GST rate and the tax amount split into CGST and SGST for sales within a state, or IGST for sales to another state.

Small businesses often need a quick, correct invoice without buying accounting software. This GST invoice generator works out the tax for each item and prints a clean invoice. It runs in your browser, so your business and customer details stay private.

How does the GST Invoice Generator work?

For each item, the generator multiplies quantity by rate to get the taxable value, then applies that item’s GST rate. It adds up the values and taxes, and splits the tax equally into CGST and SGST for sales within your state, or shows it as IGST for inter-state sales.

Pressing Print invoice builds a formatted invoice in a new tab, ready to print or save as PDF.

Taxable value = Quantity × RateGST = Taxable value × GST rate. Within state: CGST = SGST = GST ÷ 2. Inter-state: IGST = GST. Total = Taxable value + GST.

  2. Enter the buyer’s name and GSTIN if registered.
  3. Enter the invoice number and date.
  4. Choose within state or to another state.
